I’m having a hard time keeping track of what day it is again. I don’t know why. The confusion is about both the day and the date. Aggravating. I’ve been convinced at various times today that it’s Monday and/or the 10th.
On Sunday it was so cold that I had to do my old PT exercises inside. I ended up having to do the clock reach with a spray bottle in my hand because Micky thought it was an invitation to attack my feet.
Yes we have gotten some snow today, but not a whole lot. And no real wind so far. I’m glad we were (apparently) spared, but Cheryl probably could have gotten here after all – unless the weather was worse down south of course. And of course since she won’t be coming til after Christmas now, the rest of her present arrived yesterday, right on time. sigh.
I had a fairly productive day yesterday. Cleaned the kitchen (ugh) and did some decent work on both books. Brought back an old friend in Called and discovered an interesting new power for the Underlings (which naturally is a threat to Sharrec). Lately I seem to spend the first part of my allotted writing time trying to write and wondering how much longer til the timer goes off, and the second part scribbling away til I’m surprised when the timer goes off. It works in its own weird way.
I decided over the weekend that I’m going to deactivate my Patreon page and just concentrate on Ko-fi for writing promotions. I kept feeling like I was neglecting one or the other, and I don’t have any paying followers on either one. So I figured I might as well consolidate. And I don’t have to try to come up with different content for each of them. I can make posts members-only on Ko-fi too, so it works basically the same as Patreon as far as I’m concerned.
Oh I made three new pins on Sunday. I wanted to make at least one, and while digging around in my findings box I discovered some Christmas charms I’d forgotten about, enough to make three. I just wish I could get somebody to buy things. I’ve been posting new stuff in both shops lately, as well as transferring older stuff between the two. And I’ve been promoting. People just don’t seem all that interested.
My current reads, just for the heck of it: Library of Souls (the third Miss Peregrine book) and The Hidden Life of Cecily Larson by Ellen Baker. The latter was one I started as a sample, then ended up buying it for the Kindle (yeah, I know) because it was only $1.99 and would have cost way more in print. I know; I’m ashamed. But I also don’t have a lot of money to spend on extras this month.
