The big event of the past week was Alyssa’s birthday party, which was kind of fun. Odd for me to realize that I was the oldest person there, though.
I finished Circle of Friends on Friday, but I’m unable to watch the movie just yet. It’s not available on streaming anywhere, not even for purchase. I did find the DVD on ThriftBooks, but I don’t want to buy it just yet. Maybe next time I buy some books there. Which I’m not going to do until I reduce my TBR piles somewhat. (The shelves are starting to bow in the middles.)
Speaking of books, I got my check from Words to Live By on Thursday. $9.80, so not a fortune, but it was nice anyway.
Micky may have caught a mouse early yesterday morning. Christian found him playing with it when he came home from work. Yes, it was dead. It’s entirely possible that Lily was the one who killed it, since she usually just leaves them after she kills them. It had been 312 days since the last Mouse Incident.
Today’s the first day of fall weather, I guess. We had a bit of rain this morning, but mostly it’s just been super windy and chilly. Gotta get the leaves off the trees somehow, I guess. Oh well, it had to happen some time.
I made three pins the other day, using some old earrings – the ones with the fall charms. Don’t know if they’ll sell, but I like them. I also have some Christmas earrings to recycle. I don’t know if I’ll do a pin with them, or a bookmark. Either way. I don’t know that I want to do any new Christmas stuff til next month though.
Today I put all my Halloween and fall items into the Ko-fi shop – what wasn’t already in there, that is. I’m doing a sale on all of them til the end of November, because why not. The Etsy sale isn’t going anywhere anyway.
What else. The writing is . . . going. Dani’s just had her baby, and decided not to keep her. I didn’t know that was going to happen until it did. Totally reasonable, really, but I hadn’t planned it. I think the plague is going to rear its ugly head in there soon. Something big has to happen soon. In other news, Sharrec has gotten around to telling his story. So I’ll be coasting in that book for a little while.
I’m putting one extra thingy in the library every day this month. Last month of the season, after all. And it gives me a chance to get rid of some things rather than store them over the winter again.
